STUDIO NINJA

I have tried a few CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) systems, and have found Studio Ninja to be, by far the best. As it was designed specifically for photographers and videographers, the processes work so seamlessly. My favourite feature is the automation of emails, specifically the one that goes out to my client the night before the shoot to remind them of the start time and meeting place.

XERO

The most user-friendly accounting software out there. I have tried many other accounting programs, but trust me, the money you will save in cheaper software, you will pay in fees to your accountant to work out where everything is. Make dealing with your finances quick, and organised, so it can be outsourced when you are ready.

VOXER

I have always used Voxer for communication with my VA’s. It’s essentially a walkie-talkie, live voice note app, that allows me to verbally provide feedback, ideas and notes to my VA whilst being out on a shoot, or sitting at my desk.

MILANOTE

This is easy-to-use tool to organize your ideas and projects into visual boards. Add notes, images, links and files, organize them visually. I use this to put together client creative boards - a place to discuss and communicate all ideas before a photoshoot, and keep the emails tidy.

TRELLO

Trello is a teamwork project management tool, aimed to automate tedious tasks. I use Trello to handle my day to day to do list, and also deligate tasks to my VA. My favourite feature is being able to forward emails to the board directly.

DIGIDIRECT

I purchase all my camera gear from Digi Direct. I personally love being able to go in-store and talk to the salespeople directly about tailored solutions to my exact problems. They are also great at price matching.

OFFICEWORKS

I purchase all my Samsung hard drives from Officeworks as they have the most affordable pricing. This one has been my favourite, it’s a solid state disk, which essentially means, there are no moving parts in inside (can’t be easily damaged and corrupted), this is why they are more expensive than ones like this. Learn from my mistakes, only buy SSD (solid state disk), hard drives.
